Thinking

When researching for this brief, I decided to look into the hidden quirks and facts Sheffield held, going beyond what the eye could initially see upon entering the city.

The aim was to capture the viewer with easily understandable imagery, and then draw them to a morsel of information they'd feel pleased to know about, especially if they were a resident to the city. Everyone loves a good fact.

Definitely a developmental project when it came to my ever-growing love of tangible type.
Making

Taking the main idea behind each fact, I visually translated it so it promoted Sheffield itself, as seen here using licquorice allsorts, turf and a variety of studentish consumables. My skills with a knife were tested.

Caretakers not so happy about soil liberally spread throughout the fourth floor of the studio.
